Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They let a site remember things between pages and visits.
Your choice, and how we ask for it
When you first arrive you'll see a banner with two options: Accept or Reject. What that banner does depends on where you are, and we'd rather explain it plainly than leave you guessing.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland: nothing non-essential runs until you choose. No analytics cookies, and no advertising pixel is loaded at all. Google's tags are present but held in a consent-denied state, which means they set no cookies and send no identifiers. If you press Accept, analytics and advertising are enabled. If you press Reject, or simply ignore the banner, they stay off.
If you are anywhere else — including Australia and the United States — analytics and advertising cookies are set when you arrive, which is permitted in those markets. The banner still appears so you can turn them off, and pressing Reject stops them immediately and reloads the page to clear anything already running.
We work out which of those applies from your browser's own time zone setting. We do not look up your IP address or use any location service to do it. It's a good-faith signal rather than a perfect one, so if it reads you wrongly, the Cookie settings link below puts the decision back in your hands.
Changing your mind
There is a Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. It reopens the banner, and whatever you choose replaces your previous answer straight away.
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key iv_consent_v1. It records only which option you picked and when. It is not a cookie, it contains nothing that identifies you, and it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data removes it and the banner will ask again.
Cookies used on this site
Essential. Set by Shopify, which hosts this site, to keep it working — session handling, security and basic functionality. The site can't operate without these, and they are not covered by the banner.
Analytics. Google Analytics tells us which pages are read, how long people stay and where visitors came from. We use it to decide what to review next. The data is aggregated; we are not tracking you as an individual.
Advertising. We advertise on Google and Meta. These cookies measure whether an ad led to a visit, and may allow those platforms to show you our ads elsewhere. We also record when a visitor clicks through to a software provider, so we can tell which of our pages are actually useful — that record is about the page, not about you.
Affiliate cookies. These matter most for how this site is funded. When you click a link to a software provider, that provider sets a cookie recording that you arrived from us. It is set by them, not by us, and it is how we get paid. It typically lasts between 30 and 90 days depending on the provider. It does not give us access to your account or your personal details.
Local storage
Besides the consent record above, our Systeme.io page stores a single flag in your browser's session storage to remember that you've clicked through, so the free Quick Start Kit stays visible if you navigate away and come back. It contains no personal information, it is not sent anywhere, and it clears when you close the tab.
Other controls
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking essential cookies will break parts of the site. Blocking affiliate cookies won't affect your experience at all — it just means we don't get paid if you sign up.
Platform-level controls are also available through Google's ad settings and Meta's ad preferences in your account settings.
One thing worth saying plainly
Our consent banner is something we built ourselves rather than a certified consent management platform. It records your choice, honours it, and passes the correct signals to Google and Meta. If that matters to you, or if you think we've got something wrong, tell us — we would rather hear it than not.
