Independent review by The Intelligence Vault. We have no affiliate relationship with GoHighLevel — the GoHighLevel links on this page earn us nothing. Where this page sends solo operators to Systeme.io instead, that is a tool we do earn a commission from.
For agencies · Pricing checked 12 August 2026
GoHighLevel costs more than $97 a month. Here's what it actually costs.
GoHighLevel replaces the CRM, funnel builder, email and SMS platform, calendar and reputation manager you're currently paying for across ten client accounts. The plan price is real. It's also not the whole bill — and almost nobody tells you that before you've entered a card.
Card required · 14 days · No money-back guarantee after that
We earn nothing from this link. We cover GoHighLevel because it's the right answer for agencies, not because it pays us.
Is this actually for you?
GoHighLevel is one of the most oversold tools in this category. The architecture is genuinely good — for a specific person. Most people who buy it are not that person.
It fits if
- You run marketing for other people's businesses and need genuine separation between client accounts
- You have three or more clients now, or a concrete plan to
- You're currently paying for a CRM, an email tool, a scheduler and a funnel builder separately — and paying again per client
- You want to resell the platform under your own brand and bill clients for it
- You can absorb a variable monthly bill without it hurting
It does not fit if
- You're running one business with one list — the sub-account model is dead weight and you'll pay six times what an all-in-one costs
- You want to test before paying. There's no free tier, the trial needs a card, and there are no refunds once you're billed
- You need it working this week. Setup is a project, not an afternoon
- Your budget can't absorb usage charges on top of a fixed floor
If you're a solo operator and landed here from an ad, GoHighLevel is the wrong tool for you and we'd rather say so than watch you pay for it. Systeme.io does most of the same jobs for one business, has a permanent free plan, and needs no card. Know our incentive before you act on that: GoHighLevel pays us nothing, and Systeme.io does pay us a commission — so this is the one recommendation on the page we profit from. The free plan costs nothing to test, so check it against this claim rather than taking our word for it.
The part nobody publishes
What it really costs per month
Three plans. All prices in US dollars, checked 12 August 2026.
| Plan | Price | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97/mo | Full CRM, funnels, email, SMS, calendars — capped at 3 sub-accounts. Fine for testing, too small for an agency. |
| Unlimited | $297/mo | Unlimited sub-accounts, unlimited contacts, API access, white labelling. This is the agency plan. |
| Agency Pro | $497/mo | SaaS mode — resell the platform as your own branded software and rebill clients at your own markup. |
Then the usage bill
The plan price is a floor, not a total. These are billed separately, on consumption:
- SMS and phone calls — per message and per minute. An SMS-heavy campaign across ten clients is the single biggest variable
- Email sends — per email, on top of the plan
- AI features — charged per sub-account, not per agency. Ten clients using it means ten times the cost
Most agencies report paying meaningfully more than the headline. Whether that's 20% or 100% on top depends entirely on how much SMS you send. Find your own number during the trial, before you quote a client a fixed monthly fee.
We haven't yet run our own 14-day trial and published the actual bill — when we do, the real figures replace this section. Until then, treat the above as the structure of the cost, not a quote. Our method explains why we won't invent numbers.
The actual argument
Why agencies put up with it
Three reasons, and only the third one is really about money.
Separation
Each client gets an isolated sub-account — their own contacts, funnels, calendars and data. No cross-contamination, and you can hand it over cleanly if they leave.
Flat contacts
Unlimited contacts on every plan. Contact-based tools punish you for growing a client's list; this one doesn't.
Rebilling
On Agency Pro you resell the platform under your own brand at your own price. That turns a cost line into a revenue line — the only reason the $497 tier makes sense.
The rebilling maths is the whole case. If you charge ten clients $99/month for "your" platform, the $497 plan is paid for twice over before you've done any marketing work. If you're not going to rebill, you're just buying an expensive CRM.
Before you enter a card
How to use the 14 days properly
There are no refunds, so the trial is your only evaluation window. Most people waste it clicking around. Do this instead.
| Day | Do this |
|---|---|
| 1–2 | Build one client sub-account end to end — pipeline, one funnel, one calendar. Not five. One, properly. |
| 3–5 | Send real SMS and real email through it. Volume similar to a live campaign. This is the only way to find your usage number. |
| 6–8 | Check the billing screen. Write down what the usage actually came to, and multiply by your client count. |
| 9–12 | Try white labelling and rebilling if you're considering Agency Pro. If you won't use this, drop to $297. |
| 13–14 | Decide. Cancel before day 14 if the usage number doesn't work — after that there's no way back. |
Set a calendar reminder for day 12. The trial converts silently and there is no refund window behind it.
Straight answers
Is there a free plan?
Can I get a refund?
Which plan do I actually need?
Is it better than Systeme.io?
How long does setup take?
What's in it for you?
If you run marketing for clients, it's worth the 14 days.
Build one sub-account, send real messages through it, and read the billing screen. That number tells you whether this works for your agency — nothing on this page can.
Card required · Cancel before day 14 · No refunds after
